From Software ... (Also see OneClickInvitations)
History
Once upon a time there was an interesting & useful hack, the OneClickInvitations. The LinkedIn gods were not amused and prevented them from working. For more information on this, see http://www.linkedin.com/answers/using-linkedIn/ULI/24734-7287255?sik=117731365909
There is an alternative - QuickLink Invitations. The QuickLink Invitation is not instant like the banned One Click version, but it DOES simplify the connection process.
Features
The Quick Link is not intended for bulk invitations where you can simply cut and paste email addresses. It's used to send individual invitations where it offers significant value to creators and users.
When you create one:
- You signal that you're an open networker and invite invitations.
- You make it easy for other members to send you an invitation
When you use one:
- QuickLinks take only 3 clicks to send an invitation. They save significant time and clicks over manually inviting someone. Users don't have to type the person's name or email address.
CAUTION - QuickLinks may be created and used by ActiveNetworkers who may not personally know one another. QuickLink users may specify an inaccurate colleague or classmate relationship to expedite sending an invitation, since they are responding to the creator's invitation to use the link. Note that it is against LinkedIn policy to invite people you don't know. We recommend that QuickLink creators be clear about how the links are to be used to avoid misunderstandings and misuse.
The QuickLink is a shortcut to viewing a person's profile and clicking Add the person to your Network. To use it:
- Click on the link to go to the associated LinkedIn web page
- Select how you know the person
- Click Send invitation. That's it!
Notes:
- If your account is restricted, you may be required to provide an email address, regardless how you specify you know the other person.
- Successfully sending the invitation requires that you have an available invitation to use.
NOTE - When you receive a Quick Link invitation via email or at LinkedIn, the email address of the sender will not be accessible as it is for normal invitations. To obtain the address you must accept the invitation and view the sender's profile.
Use our new QuickLink Maker at http://MyLinkInvitation.com/make.php .
The TopLinkedIn networker directory at http://MyLink500.com promotes QuickLink invitations. Be sure to add or edit your listing there with your QuickLink.
Future changes
LinkedIn has changed the syntax and acceptable use of these links multiple times. You should be able to use your QuickLink through MyLinkInvitation.com on an indefinite basis. The page at MyLinkInvitation will be programmed and kept current with the latest information and LinkedIn links that work to the best of our knowledge. Make sure you and your QuickLink are registered at http://MyLink500.com so you can be contacted if necessary. General announcements will be made on the TopLinkedIn discussion group at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/TOPLINKEDIN .
Enjoy!
